MS-DOS Error

Whenever I try to run Certain applications I get a 16 Bit Windows Subsystem
error dialogue box that says: "c:\windows\system32\autoexec.nt. The system
file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications.
Choose 'close' to terminate the application."

Does any one have any idea why I might be getting this error? Is there a
setting I should change. I am running the same XP setup on my other computer
and never get this dialogue when I try to run the same programs. Any insight
into why I am getting this message would be great.

Thanks

The autoexec.nt file is missing or corrupt. Look in \windows\repair for
another copy and copy it to \system32.
