MS C# cert have value?

I haven't seen any request for MS Certitified C# developers during my
current job search. Is there any value to getting the single cert (as
opposed to the four)?

I don't have quite as much C# experience and believe the cert may compensate
for some of that. Is that a valid reasoning?

Hi,

If you are quite junior with C# I recommend it , it will give you a good
idea of the lenguage capabilities and a better understanding of the .NET
libraries. I have MSAD but the only benefit was for my development, employers
want to see experience on the CV to be honest.

Nobody will hire you only for your Academic qualification (unless they are
looking for an apprentice), but these will help you to develop your career
and to gain experience.

Do you know of any good study guides for the C# test. Amazon.com has bad
ratings on nearly all of the C# test books.

The QUE books are quite good, send me your email and I can send you some
practice tests.

I liked the TestKing practice exams with explanations.

It turned out that many of the questions on the Test King exams were
word-for-word exactly the same as those on the actual test (even
answers were same and in same order). Someone from MS should probably
look into how they got the exact questions from the real exam on the
test exams (I did report it to MS as part of the evaluation).

I also read one of the official test prep books from MS (bought the 4
book set) and it was horrible. Didn't explain things well at all,
glossed over stuff, and was just flat out a bad read. There was very
little information in it I didn't already learn from other better
books. I also didn't really notice any correlation to material in the
prep book and material on the exam.

I saw that set and it has a 3.5 star rating. You're saying it is a good
set?
