I have this error in system logs....The master browser has received a server
announcement from the computer SULFURBLADE that believes that it is the
master browser for the domain on NetBT_T cpip.........the master browser is
stopping or an election is being forced

If your network is working fine, the message just means that one system
wasn't ready to do its part at the same time as the other computer (may not
even be turned on).
 
I am not on a network...this is just a stand alone desktop....It has an
ethernet card which is hooked up to dsl modem. ...Ps thanks Sharon for a
prompt reply...and the computer is working fine...but i guess I just saw an
error and wanted to correct it.

Your DSL service is a sort of network. Until the computer is fully booted,
it won't be able to report the IP address to the modem. Even if your
service is based on dynamic IP (vs static), that number will be
communicated to the modem and to the DSL network.

PS: I know what you mean. Red and yellow marks in Event Viewer tend to get
my blood pressure going too. It helps to keep in mind that many "errors"
are simply informational in nature.
