I have a Canon Multipass F80 printer which was working fine until I installed
one of the latest windows xp update. Now when I try to print to the printer
I get the message "Unable to communicate with the device please start
mpservice from the services applet in control panel then right-click on
status monitor to be connected then try again".

I restart the service, but still have the problem, I uninstall and reinstall
the printer with the multipass software and still no luck. This seem to
happen when I install the latest window update that install the security
center.
