I have a bunch of mpg files which I want to put into power point, but it just shows the file name and doesnt play the video, I tried openeing the files with windows movie maker, and it said I did not have the codec, it is set to automatically download it, but it didnt for some reason. I also tried opening them with windows media player, it went to download the codec, but gave some error, but somehow managed to play them fine anyway, I would really apreciate any help with this asap

Thanks

Apparently, that info is for PowerPoint 2003 only. Another article here:

hmm, the problem isnt really powerpoint, its the movies or the computer, I am mostly wondering if there is a way around the problem or a way I can get the codec/convert the files or something
