mpeg to wmv converter anywhere??

I DL'ed Windows Media Encoder from the microsoft site, but a huge green
bar keeps appearing in the video after encoding.

Any other freeware sites where I can download this????

If you run WinXP, moviemaker saves it's files in WMV.
 
Yep, tried that a while ago, keep getting "unable to insert file" with
wmm.

Is the error message "Unable to import file"
If so, you need a repair program as your mpeg
is corrupt.

I'm looking for a free one of these too.

Perhaps you could use TMPGenc or VirtualDub to convert the mpeg to
AVI, then use MovieMaker2 or Windows Media Encoder to convert the AVI
to WMV.

here you can find SUPER, converter for different formats.
wmv is still in beta, but had good results with it.
