I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask but you'll tell me if I
need to be somewhere else.
I have a cd with mp3s on it along with jpeps. I want to burn the mp3 to
another cd so I can listen to them over my boom box. they fit along
with oter files on the original cd. 402mb. when I try to burn them to
another cd only about one sixth of them will fit. What's going on? I
have tried this with WMP, Roxio, and CdBurnerXpPro all with the same
results.
I have also tried to copy them to the hard drive first. On the Original
cd and on the hard drive it states that there is a total of 402 mb. But
if I try to burn them to another cd I will need 9 cds.
Why are they growing?

Does your "boom box" play MP3s or just regular audio cds?

If you're trying to convert MP3s to audio cds then you'll need that many
cds. Audio cds use wav files as tracks which are uncompressed and
significantly larger in size than MP3s. If your "boom box" will play MP3s,
just copy them to a CD-R as MP3s, but don't try to make an audio cd.

Cheers.

I have tried burning them as non audio and my Boom box will not play
them. Every other mp3 that I have burned as audio has played

I am trying to burn them as mp3s. My boom box and stereo play mp3. This
is the first time that I have failed. I am not converting them. I have
also tried dragging and dropping them with the Sonic DLA(?) straight to
the cd burner with the same luck. If I try burning them as anything the
sound as if I was lacing a DVD in the CD player.
