Hi there!
I'm trying to get rid of the irritating windows XP logoff
and logon sounds and customise them with my own. I've
figured out where to do this but windows only seems to
want to use .wav format sounds and not mp3's. Anybody
know how to change an mp3 to .wav or how to get windows
to use the mp3? Also, any advise on music editing
software would be much appreciated!

Thanks, Stu

MP32WAV, which I have personally never used, is freeware:
http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/programs/MP32WAV/ I've got MusicMatch Jukebox
(freeware) version on this system and use it to do such file conversions.

Ian.
