Hi there

It's not really a freeware question. I have quite a few mp3's on my computer
from CD's I have converted. I would like to make a list of them. What would
be the easiest way to do this please?

Put it into Winamp???

Sorry, possibly didn't explain myself very well. I would like to make a list
that I can print off.

Also, the last time I upgraded winamp, it totally spazzed out my computer so
in the end I deleted it. Has anyone else had probs with the latest version?

I also had problems with winamp, switched to foobar2000 and pleased I
did, better sound and performance than Winamp.

drop the whole lot in winamp then close winamp, head to the winamp folder
and grab the file winamp.m3u and drop it into wordpad - you now have a list
that'll look something like this

#EXTM3U
#EXTINF:249, isotoxin - necros / fm
G:\Unreal\Music\Isotoxin.s3m
#EXTINF:349,Hub 7
G:\Unreal\Music\Crater.s3m
#EXTINF:309,Shared Dig
G:\Unreal\Music\DigSh.s3m
#EXTINF:299,Dusk Horizon
G:\Unreal\Music\Dusk.s3m

(if you're an Unreal fan ;-)
next use search and replace to dump all the garbage text and you're done!
:-)

But you'd get a much neater, more readable list (sans path) by just
using Winamp's Misc>Opts>Generate HTML playlist which can be saved
either as html or text.

MP3ListShellEx is Windows Explorer shell extension. It allows you to
easily build many types of playlist (wpl, b4s, m3u, pls) and mp3 list
(htm, xml, xls, csv). To create list just select in your favorite file
manager drive(s) or folder(s) with mp3 files and choose desired list
type from context (right-click) menu.

Program supports most popular playlist formats, which are recognized by
all mp3/media players. Mp3 lists created by MP3ListShellEx contain more
than twenty details such as ID3v1.1 tags, MPEG frame information and
file properties. Both playlist and mp3 list may be sorted by any of
these details. Number and order of columns in mp3 list are configurable.

MP3ListShellEx requires Visual C and Visual Basic run-time files
(Windows ME/2K/XP already have them). Some users may also need to
install "Microsoft Windows Common Controls" - COMCTL32.OCX.

Another way with Winamp:
Open Winamp
File > Play Folder > Select Folder > OK
Click PL Button (bottom right)
In Playlist Editor click Misc.
In the popup menu click Misc.
Click Generate HTML playlist.
This will produce an HTML file with titles and paying times.

Why not just use a directory printer, and print the contents of the
directory and sub directory's. Karens dir printer will do the job.

Interesting licensing, "giftware." Pricelessware.org doesn't seem to
have this one defined (yet!). From the website:
