I am recovering the boss's external USB drive.
There is some sector errors. So I would like to scan all the mp3's
for bad files. Anyone know of any mp3 file scanner?

I was looking for recommendations.
I checked google yesterday and all I got was programs that would search
for mp3's. Whats the point? Windows find will do that.
I need something that will test the files for crc errors or something like
that
highlighting bad files or files that have corruption.

well, encspot can find files w/ "bad frames", "sync errors", etc, but it's
not specifically a "corrupted file checker".

I have not heard of a tool that does exactly what you desire, if you do
find it post back for the rest of us!

Ya encspot is a nice software. I've used it in the past
the problem is that I need something that will search subdirectories.
Not one folder at a time like encspot does
