Okay...I have been playing DVD's on my WinXP pro machine
for quite a while now. For some reason now, I can play
the DVD through the ATI DVD player, a downloaded trial
version of PowerDVD, etc. The problem is that Windows
Media player gives me the error:
Windows Media Player cannot play this DVD because a
problem occurred with digital copyright protection.
Hmmmm...I have been playing these DVD's for a long time.
So how did MP 9.0 get so screwed up? I downloaded MP 9.0
from microsoft and re-installed...no luck. Uninstalled
and re-installed the ATI DVD player...didn't help. I can
still play it with the ATI application, but since MP
won't play it, Interactual 2.0 will not either (throws
CSS errors). This is really annoying with you insert a
DVD that uses interactual and it won't play.
Has anyone had this problem? Do you know how to fix it?
I have a feeling that there is a screwed up registry
entry somewhere for Media Player, but I don't know where
to look, etc.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. You can send me
an email by removing "REMOVETHIS" from my email address.
Thanks,
Matt
