I want to move XP to a new computer. I can get the
software part ok. My question is about the sticker. Where
do I get a new one, because I'm going to sell the old
computer after I wipe the hard drive? I've tried removing
that sticker, but it doesn't want to come off in one
piece. Where do I get a new one?

Greetings --

Just a side note for you, i dont know how you wish to get the sticker off,
but if Windows XP was preinstalled on that machine it is not transferable to
another.

I installed it myself, from which I purchased at a store.
I wish to move it to a new computer I built.

What Chris is trying to say, if the version of XP on the computer is OEM
version (you got it real cheap with a piece of hardware), then is lives and
dies by the first PC it is installed. Even if you could get another sticker
you are in direct violation of the EULA and a very good possibility, it
won't activate with MS when trying, as it has been activated and the imprint
of the computer it was installed is recorded at MS.
If you have a retail FULL or Upgrade version, then you have every right
to remove from an old computer and reinstall on the new one.

I bought a computer, and it had a coupon for XP Home for
$20. The product ID in System Properties says OEM on it,
but I've moved it to another computer already, and it
works fine

Greetings --

You apparently have an OEM license for WinXP. You cannot
legitimately move this license to another computer.

Doesn't matter. An OEM license, once installed, is not legally
transferable to another computer under any circumstances.
