I am not sure what hosting package I should go for. They have one with CGI
and one with ASP. I am using FP2002. Which would be a better choice or a
feature that I would most likely get the most use out of?

without hesitation, asp. if you're interested in exploiting fp's database
capabilities, or even want to use an access database.
besides just .asp try to get on a windows server with fp extensions and that
it's not a UNIX server with an .asp emulator.
HTH, oh and imo. ;-)

you'll be much happier with that setup. if you've experienced odd problems
on your previous server they will disappear. that is, if the admins run
their server and extensions properly. ;-)

btw- I currently have web.com as a host. It is horrible. I do not recommend
it to anyone. Site is down too much for my taste.

Open the live or local site in FP, then publish to the new server either via it's domain name or ip
address.

I'd suggest that you open the remote web then publish from the current
host to a local server or your hard drive *first* if you don't have a
local copy of your web. Then publish it to your new ISP. You should
*always*, *always*, *always* have a local copy of your web site.
I'm assuming from your previous post that you do not.
