Miss. Michelle Heigardt

Hallo, can someone help me instructions for making some text (eg One,
Two, Three) move around randomly on a Powerpoint slide. I want the
"One" to move around randomly, and the "Two" to move around randomly,
and the "Three" to move around randomly on a slide until I move to
another slide.
Thank you. I am using PowerPoint 2000 on a Windows XP Home computer.
Michelle.

Hello Michelle,

true "random" movements are not possible in PowerPoint without VBA
programming.

If you had PowerPoint 2002 or 2003, you could use animation paths to make
the movements look like random.

But, sorry, I do not see any possibility to accomplish this easily in PPT
2000.

Kind regards,
Ute

Hi,

Although you could do this much more easily in PPT2002/2003, you can create
the same illusion in PPT2000 ( but the movements won't be random).

1. Add two blank slides to your presentation.

2. Leave the first slide blank and set the transition to automatically
advance after 0 seconds (this resets your animations).

3. On the second slide, add your #1 text box and apply some movement type
animation to it, set it to Hide on next mouse click. Copy the #1 text box
and place it directly over top of where the other one would disappear.
Essentially you're using a cartoon flip book technique. Download advanced
animation techniques from here and it will show you how it's done:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...89-9C4C-4A7B-AE99-FB2A94ADC28B&displaylang=en

4. Repeat the animation techniques for #2 and #3.

5. Set the slide transition on slide two to advance automatically after
enough seconds to allow all your transitions to play.

6. Click on Slide Show, Set Up Show and check the "Loop contunuously" box.

7. Click on Slide Show, Custom Shows, New, and add your two slides to the
custom show. Give it whatever name you want.

8. From the appropriate point in your presentation, add a link to the Custom
Show and a link to skip to the slide after your Custom Show.

When you run the presentation, click on the link to the Custom Show and it
will loop the Custom Show (and animations) until you hit the ESC key. Click
on the Skip over link to continue the remainder of your presentation.
