Moving pc.

Hi all, I need to pick your brains. At the moment I have my computer in the
living room connected to the telephone by a usb modem but would like to move
it to the back bedroom out of the way, what would be the easiest / best way
then to connect it to the internet. I have never had anything to do with
routers before so no idea what is involved.

Best to get a phone extension line installed in the same location as you
wish to put your computer.. you could use a wireless link, but it is not a
cheap option..
 
Hi:

Some questions, because there is several ways to do it:

Do you have broadband?
If yes, confirm me if you modem is for cable or ADSL?
Can you extend the phone conection to your room? I mean, cablin your house?
Do you have wireless in your PC?

Use the same connection you have with a longer cable to the phone line.
