We are about to move 75 machines off of an AD model to a workgroup
model (they're moving to another office that won't have AD but will be
on a NetWare network). How do I do this so the users don't lose their
profiles/data? I was thinking that I could drop them from the AD on the
machine, put them into a workgroup then have them logon normally.

You should post this in one of the server groups. You might also want to
consult with the MS experts about this. You may already have a service
contract but even if you need to pay, my experience with server support
has been excellent and the expense well worth it. I know that there are
user migration tools, but normally they are going the other way - from
workgroup to server. Here is a list of all the MS newsgroups:

In addition to Malke's excellent advice, you should be aware that Novel
hosts some lively newsgroups. Visit one to obtain expert directions for
migrating AD profiles to NetWare profiles from the people who experience
making that migration.
