is it possible for me to put my hibernate file/path to a partitioned drive
letter, so that my C does not explode, and I have the functionality of the
feature?

1. Hibernate files don't cause drives to explode or fail.
2. No, you can't move the file to another location.

It does if you use solid state drives a lot like I do. As it eats up the
number of write cycles and then the drive fails. My average writes to a
SSD is about 400MB per day. One hibernate for me would be 2GB for each
time. Thus reducing the longevity by 5 times, just by one hibernation
per day.

you might try moving the
pagefile for virtual memory
instead.

but the hibersys file needs
to stay on the boot partition.

in regads to the disk exploding,
I think this is something that
Q invented for 007 so it is
unclear how you acquired such
advanced technology.

perhaps, you need to simply
add more hard disk space to
your configuration.

Ok, we can play that game. so you have 100,000 write cycles before
failure, how many years is 100,000 days. And additionally, moving the
file to another partition on the same drive as the OP asked, wouldn't
save the SSD writes anyway.
