Moving Hard Drive Partition

My system is Microsoft XP and I have a 120GB hard disk NTFS system. I am
partitioned at 14.9 GB for my primary Drive C, with nothing contained in the
bigger Drive D area of the hard disk. I am quickly running out of room on
"C". I want to move the partition back so I can gain more room in my primary
drive. How do I accomplish this? If this is not possible, how do I transfer
lesser-used files over to my D Drive?

If you save all your documents in "My Documents" and it has become too big,
right-click "My Documents" and press the Move button to move "My Documents"
to the D: drive. You will reclaim some space on your C: drive and your
problem will be solved.

You can also reduce the size of your "Temporary Internet files" folder and
claim more space. To do so, Select the Internet Options under the Tools
menubar in Internet Explorer, and click the Settings button in Temporary
Internet files.

If the other partition is formatted as the D: drive, moving folders and
files should be as easy as dragging them from the C: drive and dropping them
into the D: drive from within Windows Explorer.

Next time you won't do that. It's really dumb to have more than one
partition on a drive. Use the whole thing. Backing update to another
partition won't save you if the drive fails. If the drive failes you loose
all partitions. If you want a backup drive put in another harddrive and use
the whole thing with a single partition. That's why they make directories.

2 partitions are not dumb, ....!

Having all your files on the second partition and only the os and program
files on the first,
lets you reformat the first parition and reinstall leaving your files intact
if that is needed.

You should learn more before trying to play it smarty pants in here.

That's retarded.
