In tidying up the mail folders in Outlook 2000, i moved 400+ emails from one
folder to another using the move folder option. However they have all
disappeared.

I have tried searching for an archive.pst file or alternative without any
luck.

Any suggestions please on where the emails may have gone

Cheers

Thanks Bill, however I have search all folders and sub folders without any
luck. Any other suggestions

Have they gone into the top level of the Personal Folders file (i.e., not in
any folder)?

Thankyou for your reply Brian,

No they are not anywhere to be found, I have tried doing a search through
outlook, through find on 'C' drive to no avail.

I believe they must have all got deleted somehow.

Using Windows Explorer to search your hard drive will never locate messages
within Outlook, since they're not file system objects. The best you can
home for with a Windows search is to locate all the PSTs on your hard drive.
