We are moving users Windows XP computers from one Windows 2000 domain to a
new Windows 2000 domain in another forest. My question is, whats the best
way to move them and retain their settings and the rest of their user
profile? When the machine is removed from the old domain and joined to the
new one I assume it will create a different user profile on the machine when
the users log in with their new accounts. Can I just copy the the old one or
rename it or will that create problems? I just want to find out what the
best way to do this is.
