I am doing a presentation that i want to have an image move across the bottom
of the screen - it is a tumbleweed, so i want it to roll across the bottom
from one side to the other.

Any help would be appreciated.

Your PowerPoint version information is absolutely critical when discussing
animations in PowerPoint.

97 or earlier --
can't be done

2000 --
Tumble weed can roll (GIF animated image file) or move (fly from right),
but not both

2002 or later --
use emphasis animation to spin the image and motion paths (with previous
animation) to roll the image across the bottom.

For more information on any of these, post back with which version solution
to detail.

Tania,
You want to apply two animations to the picture - a motion path to move the
tumbleweed and an emphasis animation to spin it. After you have added them
both, set the animation path to happen when you want and the spin to happen
with the motion path. Once that is set, test it. If it works, then change
the spin animation to repeat until end of slide.
