Hello everyone.

I just ordered a new motherboard, processor and memory so
I can upgrade my current system and I just realized that I
might have problems getting Windows XP Pro to start up the
first time I try to start this new system. Is there a way
I can take my existing hard drive (with the current WinXP
install) and move it into this new system without having
Windows balk during startup when it notices that these
three items (motherboard, processor and memory) have
changed? The last thing I want to do is re-install all
the other programs I have installed already. Does this
make sense?

Thanks for any advice or suggestions.

It makes alot of sense however on a new board xp has to be
reinstalled. You'll have to (upon starting, after figuring youre BIOS
adjustment),boot directly to xp cd,and delete partition, create one,
then let xp install. No way around it,before you install board, run file-
transfer wizard, set as old computer, create a new folder, after it loads
the data on folder, transfer to a cd.All settings, files, etc will be intact.
