I just bough a new computer and instlled a fresh copy of Outlook. How do I copy my contacts from my old computer to my new one?

You didn't mention your Outlook version so I'm going to take a wild guess
and say you're using Outlook 2002 :-) Look at the following two articles
for help with this -- one is a primer on Outlook files, and the other gives
instructions for moving to a new Outlook 2002 machine.

Thanks! Worked perfectly, even in my Outlook 2003. My apologies for asking such a basic question. I would have thought that the Microsoft folks would have seen this as a common issue and would have addressed it more clearly in their setup information

I really appreciate your detailed help

You're welcome, and don't worry about asking a basic question...although
searching the newsgroup before posting will often get you the answer you're
looking for, especially if it's a FAQ :-) It's not easy to search with
the Microsoft Community Newsgroups web interface, though, and it looks like
that's what you're using...it's much easier to use a newsreader program like
Outlook Express, or an archive like Google Groups, to search for past
answers. If you want more info on those options, feel free to post back.

The only other bit of advice I'd give you is to always post your Outlook
version when asking for help. It narrows down the list of possible answers
considerably.
