i am in the middle of making a movie with windows movie
maker and would like to have it play on a computer as well
as a dvd what is the best program and easiest way to
convert my file to a vcd?

My new laptop computer came with MyDVD and it burned my first two DVDs
perfectly. It can use either the WMV or DV-AVI movies saved by MM2.

To convert to a VCD to the best program is TMPGEnc

To convert the MM2 AVI file to a VCD, freeware programs such as
TMPGenc and VCDEasy (or similar programs) will be needed. TMPGenc
will convert the MM2 AVI to the necessary mpeg1 file needed by
VCDEasy, which will use that file to create a VCD image file. VCDEasy
will also burn the image to a CD.
