movie maker freezes

When saving movies to my computer it part way through it just freezes the
computer and I have to reeboot the machine can anyone help please

I found the same thing if I try to make moves that consist
of a lot of files (I let it run all night - no difference)

I've only ever been able to create short movies thus far.
