Movie maker crashes when using Edit options

Ok - So everytime I try and use any of the edit options
(video effects or titles etc.) , my movie maker closes
down with no error report generated , just closes as soon
as I drag an effect into a frame or after i have typed a
few letter of any title.

I have an AMD 2600 with 512 DDR and a GF4 4600ti

Anyone know why this is happening to me?
