In Windows XP one could customize the toolbar of Windows Explorer to add a
"Move to" button. This was very useful. I don't see how to add such a
button in Vista. One can display menus and choose "Edit | Move to folder"
but this is not nearly as convenient. Am I missing something or did
Microsoft drop one of the convenient features of XP? Is there some way to
display such a "Move to" button?

there is a registry tweak that adds this option to a right click on the file
or folder of windows.
You right click and select move to, or copy to... very nice and useful.
It works with XP and vista (confirmed by me).

You can find it here:
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm

line 45>> add copy to/move to on the right click (It also has an undo reg
there too)

Tell me if this helps

This seems to work fine. Thanks. I still don't understand why Microsoft
removed the option for the Taskbar button that was available in XP, but this
is almost as convenient.

The "Move To" issue has been going on as far back as Windows 95. I was
surprised that Microsoft removed the toolbar button.

They made vista less user friendly....

why? I will never understand... the only reason I can think of
is that the designers behind the vista GUI were novices...
