Move text from M.Word to compact disk?

I am writing a book on home computer but when I try to download it from
Microsoft Word to a CD, I'm told to contact my supervisor, I don't have
access. ???
 
You can't Save files directly to CDs. Directions vary depending on Windows
version & what CD/DVD software you have available - Check your Windows Help
on the subject: Burn a CD.
 
It doesn't tell you to contact your supervisor. It might say something about
not having permission. Regardless, you cannot copy the file to a CD, you
have to burn a CD.
