move history from one account to another ?

I managed to save and import my contact list when changing over from
one hotmail account / messenger to another but how do I move message
histories ?

Hi Howard9,

I haven't actually tried this (so you may want to copy as opposed to move), but if you go to
the \My Documents\My Received Files\passport\History (where passport is your old passport)
and simply move the files from there into the new folder (\My Documents\My Received
Files\newpassport\History, where newpassport is your new passport), it should just work.

Jonathan... thanks for the suggestion.. I tried it and it did not
work. I tried renaming the file and it doesn't appear when I open
FILE/OPEN MESSAGE HISTORY either...
There is an ".xsl" document in there too.... I wonder if it keeps a
log of contacts...
I am using Messenger Plus by the way...

It is disappointing not to be able to do this as it must be quite
common to want to move to another identity... and still keep a
history.
