Move a program folder

Many versions of Windows ago I found a freeware app that would move/rename a
program folder. It would go thru the registry and make all the changes
necessary so that the right folder was pointed to everywhere. I moved some
pretty complex program files and it always fixed it up.

I just installed a program that did not give me a choice of installation
folder and did not put itself in Program Files. I'd like to find that little
app so I could move this truant program. Does anyone know if such a helper
exists, and if so, can you please point me to it.

Thanks.

There was a program from PC Magazine called (I think) COA, or Change Of
Address - maybe it is still available?

not sure if this is the program you were thinking about, Ken, it's called
"application mover" ... it's not free anymore, if it ever was, but I have
used it, and recommend it for the price.
you can check it out at http://www.funduc.com/app_mover.htm

The latest version is called COA2.exe. In my experience programs like these
don't always work perfectly. It's much better and safer to uninstall from
its existing location, and reinstall in the new one.
