Help! I don't know how to disable this function. Whenever
one moves the mouse (or touchpad) pointer over a program
or close box or menu, XP automatically opens or closes
the program. I check where I thought the settings should
be to no avail.
Does anyone know how to disable this. For me, it is a
very annoying feature.

It's not a feature of XP but rather your laptop. When you accidentally tap the touchpad with your wrist or arm, there is an [enter] generated. You're not the first person with a laptop and a touchpad that has experienced this problem. In fact I was working on a friends laptop just yesterday, and could not find the setting to turn it off. I'm guessing it might be a CMOS/BIOS setting instead of an XP driver setting.
