Do you have a spare one you can plug in and see if it works? If not, go to Device Manager and try updating the driver. If that doesnt work, uninstall the mouse all together and reboot. Windows should reinstall the driver automatically, and try that.
Afterthought. Did you check to make sure it was pluged in in the back? Sometimes they become upluged. Try unpluging it and pluging it back in
