Hello. Just got Windows XP. One thing I would like to
change: when the mouse icon is left over a link for more
than 5 seconds, it automatically clicks the link. Is
there any way to disable that? I checked the mouse
control panel, but did not find it. Any help would be
appreciated. Thanks!

There is no setting in xp that does that. It must be an option of your mouse
or a prob with the mouse.

Control Panel \ TweakUI
Mouse
Clear X-mouse box (activation follows mouse... "you need only move the
mouse into a window in order to give it focus")

Did you even read the post? He said he holds the mouse over a link
and it auto clicks after 5 seconds. He is not single clicking. He's
not clicking at all. The mouse is auto-clicking. This is not a
feature of xp.
A good question, but unfortunately the wrong answer.
Hey but nevertheless a pretty cool feature,
Thus if you find out where it comes from and how to get rid, let me
know, sounds as if I could like that one.
