Mouse Pointing Functioin

Can XP be set up so that an item is selected by just pointing to the item? My friends XP seems to work that way and it is driving him crazy.

Yes, you can set it for single click which will
select an item just by placing your pointer on it.

To change back to 'Double Click'...

Go to...Start / Control Panel / Folder Options...

On the 'General' tab...tick...
'Double Click To Open an Item' / Apply / OK.
