Hi

Is there another way to set mouse motion other than going to Control
Panel->Mouse->Pointer options->Motion? I don't use any mause software but
the default one provided by windows. I'm currently not satesfied with
pointer movement and just can't get the right settings. I have Logitech
Optical Mouse Limited Edition, and if I install mouse software it's even
worse. None of the settings for speed and acceleration work the way I want.
Is there another kind of software that can do the job better, or can I
already do it using windows mouse settings, but somewhere else than inside
control panel?

regards
Tomaz

It can't be worse with mouse software installed.. a mouse driver is a mouse
driver, and anything else that MS or Logitech supply with mouse software is
a bonus..

Hi

Unfortunately it is. I always used the default movement settings after
installing windows and got used to that. Now that I own a Logitech optical
mouse, movement has changed a little and I just cant get it right with
windows settings. Logitech movement settings can't even be set to the same
movement windows is doing. I tryed all combinations of speed and
acceleration but can't find one. It always accelerates to fast/slow or moves
to fast/slow.

Hi Tomaz,

Thank you for posting!

In my opinion, the Windows build-in driver only provide the generic
function to make the device work. The driver provided by manufacture can
provide more options for configuration and make the device work even better.

For this case, I suggest downloading the latest drive for your mouse from
Logitec web site:
http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/downloads/categories/US/EN,CRID=1792

For how to use Logitech mouse better, you may visit Logitech support site
(http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/support/home/US/EN,CRID=271), you may
find some best practices there.

I hope that the above information is helpful.

Have a nice day!

My pointer activates almost everything it touches at hyperspeed, also, while
typing cursor jumps about the page inserting characters where ever it lands.
Have tried speed adjustments etc.. HELP!
