Mouse Over Message

I'm trying to find a way to display a message in the Status Bar area (or
anywhere really) when the mouse is over a field or label. I checked a few
other posts, but they all seem to be geared to when you CLICK on a field, not
when you hover the mouse pointer over it.

I've set my Status Bar Text and my Control Tip text identically, and I've
moved the fields to the front, so I'm out of ideas.

Anyone else have this problem?

The control Tip text will display a pop-up message when the mouse is held
over a control for a second or two.

Is there a way to change how fast you have to wait before the message appears?

Not that I am aware of. If so, it is probably a registry setting somewhere.
It should be consistent in all your Windows programs for each PC.
