Yesterday I started playing a game that I have only played once since I got a computer with WindowsXP home edition. The first time it was for less than half an hour, this time several hours. The game crashed a few times but seemed to be running - then I had to go on the Internet to meet up with friends - and I couldn't log in to the chat room - on one ISP but I could on the other, then I couldn't on either. This took over an hour and was finally sorted out by the old fashioned reboot

Today I commenced playing the game again - and within a couple of hours the games started glitching, and reglitching when shut down and restarted. I decided I would just have to toss the game except now my mouse is double clicking instead of single clicking - maybe not ALL the time, but over 70%. I've tried restarting, system restore, playing with the batteries, slowing the mouse click down to it's slowest speed and nothing is working. The mouse is wireless.

Ideas would be welcome
Thank yo

Go to the Control Panel and select the mouse, there you can adjust the
double click speed.

Good Luck

Thank you

Hilang,

If by "playing with the batteries" you mean replacing with a known
good set (brand new), the next thing to check is the mouse itself.

Control Panel - System - Hardware tab - Device Manager starts the
Device Manager wizard. From there find "Mice and other pointing
devices" and under that the selection for your mouse. Double click
that (as well as you can) which starts the Mouse Properties wizard.
Device status should indicate if any problem was found right off. Hit
the Troubleshooting button for more help.

If that's not of help, install a wired mouse in its place, and play
your game. See if the game starts glitching again.

Cheers,

Chuck

Thank you both.
I have followed your advice and now have a working wired mouse.

Kewl. Thanks for the update.
