Does anyone out there know how to mount a compressed drive
volume created for Win98 into XP or 2000 to read the data
in drvspace.000? Drvspace.000 contains all the files on a
disk I need to recover, including the program files
folder, windows, and the old my docs. I've read that you
can mount it if you boot to DOS using the mount command,
but after exhaustive searching on the MS KB, google, and
altavista I've found no one else with an answer; there
were many other forum posts unanswered with the same
question however. Please respond if you have had to deal
with this issue before or if there is any way to get to
the volume outside of DOS. Please and thank you,

Jordan

Cannot Restore Backups That You Create in Windows 95, Windows 98,
or Windows Me with the Windows XP Ntbackup Tool
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;305381

You may have success restoring Win 9X backups (.qic files)
with Stomp BackupMYPC (formerly Veritas Backup Exec),

There's a 30 day free trial, so try it out!
