Is there a way to make the insertion point more visible? We are training several people of a certain age to use Word and it is not easy for them to see the insertion point. We have increased the zoom to 125%, but it doesn't quite do the job. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

G'Day Ed,

Start>Control Panel>Mouse
Pointers (Tab)
Experiment with Schemes
eg Conductor, Hands (1 or 2),
Magnified,
Old Fashioned, Windows
Black
(extra large), Windows
Inverted (el).

Pointer Options (Tab)
Try combinations of Display pointer trails
Hide pointer while typing
(UNcheck)
Show location of pointer......

If necessary, download a custom Cursor Set.

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried a few scemes. They all seemed to change everything but the insertion point. Am I missing something

Thanks again

Hi Ed,

I guess I got excited, that only changes the cursor.

Can you give a clue why the difficulty is severe?

If visual contrast is a problem, you could try:
Tools>Options>General (Tab)
Check 'Blue background, white text'.

Also:
Control Panel>Keyboard
Change the Cursor Blink Rate (Faster might work).

I don't know if the actual insertion point 'shape' can be
changed.

The ability.net solution does address our problem. I've emailed them about aquiring the follow.exe program. I'll let you know if it works out. Thanks for your research
