more then 4 hours to update 512K with windows update!

How can it be that it takes more then 4 hours to update 512KB of WinXP
by windows update from the location of India???
The best, most of the time was spent after all the download and
installation bars showed 100%!!! The download was completed!!!

Is Microbrain... Microsoft not even able to provide a simple download
tool to update WinXP?

what kinda of connection do you have and what was your transfer rate? maybe
its ur ISP thats slowing things down.
 
MS often uses a small "downloader" program for updates & for some reason
specifies the size of this - which bears no relationship to the actual size
of the complete download,
SP1 was a typical example, it showed as so many Kb, but the actual download
was ~140MB.
