Recently my monitor appeared to be faulty. Windows appeared to start normally
then when initial Windows XP screen went blank the monitor switched itself
off into power saving mode. I swapped monitor with a friend to establish not
monitor fault - same symptoms.
I then tried to fix windows problem with the disc that I recieved with my
computer.
The disc appears to have reinstalled 2 other versions of windows XP - a full
one and one that will not start.
When I press F8 on start up Windows XP home edition is listed 3 times. First
one in the list which the computer wants to go to first is corrupt and doesnt
start. Second one starts but none of my settings or programmes are available
the third one starts and everything is now normal when I access it from F8 on
start up.
This is really frustrating. Can anyone please tell me how to either delete
the first two XPs on my computer or tell the computer to look for the third
(my original) version on start up.
