more than 1 browser window?

When I want to open a new web site and I click open link
in new window, it opens in a new window and closes the
old window. I want to keep the old window open too.

Go to Tools | Internet Options | Advanced.
Uncheck "Reuse windows for launching shortcuts".
 
I did the uncheckng of the reusing the old window and its
still closing the old website out when I open another.
What else can I do??

Did you close and re-open IE?

Yes I did... And the box is still unchecked in the
Internet Options. I even tried rebooting. If you have
ANY help with this I would GREATLY apprecisate it. It
started just randomly one afternoon.
