Hi Folks.

I am having a problem emailing to specific persons from outlook. I am
generally able to email out, but for some reason, certain recipients do not
receive the messages. I am certain that the email addresses are accurate and
in the proper format.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Hello Kathleen. Thank you for your response.
1. They do go to the "sent" folder
2. No Non-Delivery Reports.
3. My mails do not show up in any of their other folders, etc. They have
no
rules excluding my messages.
4. I am only certain of one non-recipient - he uses hotmail.

The likely cause is either their mail providers are blocking your messages
or they have scanners on their PCs that are rejecting the messages.

dHello Brian.
Thank you, but I am a bit confused. When you say "mail provier", are you
talking about Hotmail or are you talking about their ISP? If you mean
Hotmail, do you know how recipients would go about unblocking my messages?
Best regards,
Don Naduriak

You use hotmail? It's very possible the recipients mail server is rejecting hotmail.

Did the recipient look in his Junk folder on Hotmail to see if your messages
were placed there? Is your recipient reading Hotmail online or using
Outlook or Windows Live Mail as a client?

Hi Brian.

The mail seems not to be directed to any other folders. We are at this time
sitting accross from each other so we are able to check everything.

If I send the mails to his hotmail address and his gmail address at the same
time, the gmail address automatically sends it on to his hotmail address, but
the one I send to his hotmail address does not appear.

As I mentioned, we have checked all filters and forwarding, and all folders
in his hotmail facility, but there is no sign.

Also, I am not receiving any notification of a message not being delivered.

Thanks for your interest.

What type of mail account are you using? Does the message you send to the
Hotmail address only move to Sent Items? (I imagine so, if the gmail
address receives it.) Do you have a web interface to your mailbox? If so,
does it make a difference if you send the message from that interface? Can
you send to that address from some other mail service?
Also, I am not receiving any notification of a message not being

Many servers that reject certain domains or IP ranges don't give
non-delivery reports.

Thanks for your response Brian.

I am able to send to him through other services with out any problem.
I do have web access to the same account and have sent him a message. That
was great idea. He did receive that message which makes me think that it is
an Outlook problem on my end. I once again tried to send through Outlook with
no luck.

Could it possibly be my Kaspersky software?

Best regards,
Don

It's rarely a good idea to have an antivirus or Internet security app
integrated with Outlook. Uninstall Kaspersky temporarily and try again. If
that works, then reinstall it without the mail scanning feature.

I have previously detached Outlook from Kaspersky. That cleared up other
problems. This seems to be specific and singular problem. I have found a
workaround and will continue to work on the problem.
Thank you for your assistance.
Best regards,
Don
