More monitor b00t problems

My computer got re-formatted some days ago and ever since when the computer
is starting up (DOS mode) the monitor appears in "stand-by" mode. I turn the
monitor on and off but nothing happens untill i get to the "welcome" thingy
in XP.

It is considered bad because i had also turning on problems, the computer
got stuck in startup and i had to re-b00t and pray so i turned on. So i
couldn't see the error displayed. That gets people mad.
