Hi,

I disabled System Retore by reducing the memory allocated to zero.
Then I loaded GOBACK 3.0 Deluxe, and it works flawlesly!!!! Yet every
once in a while, I see a message somewhere that GOBACK Deluse 3.0 is
not compatible with WIN XP Home Edition.

I went to download a WIN XP Update, but could not find one. I feel
that somethings askew somewhere and I don't know what to do. Is there
a compatible version of GOBACK? Is Win XP just fibbing?

Mike

Mike;
That message is from Go-Back and not Windows.
If something is fibbing, it most likely is Go-Back.

Check the documentation for your version of Go-Back and verify it is
compatible with Windows XP.
If available, the patch would be available from Symantec:
http://www.symantec.com/goback/
Since 3.0 seems to be the newest, you should not have compatibility
issues.

However you left System Restore on.
Lowering the space to 0% does not turn it off.
Go to System Restore.
Click System Restore Settings on left side.
Check box "Turn off System Restore"
Click OK and follow prompts.
Reboot to ensure System Restore is fully off.

You turn off system restore by disabling it, not by reducing it's file size
to zero!
