This is an extension of my previous question about 'Forma
Object:Properties:Move and Size'.

If I paste a picture ( 'picture (enhanced metafile)' ) from anothe
program into excel it free floats above the worksheet. If I 'forma
object' and set it to 'move and size' with cells, should it not sor
with another column? Move if I move the row or column it is on? I am
little confused here about what this format option is really doing.
From everything I read, it appears that it should. In my hands it doe
not move with cells. It does resize to the cell it is over but does no
move with the cell.

I am most interested in setting up a worksheet to sort relative to
value in another column.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
-Thanks in advance for hell

Does this help?

From XL Help ("Drawing objects and imported graphics aren't sorted with
the underlying cells."):
Size and placement Objects to be sorted must be no taller than the
row or no wider than the column you want to sort. For example, if you
want to reorder rows of cells, the objects can be no taller than any
single row. If you want to reorder columns, the objects can be no
wider than any single column. If necessary, adjust the row height or
column width before you sort the data.

When you select the range of cells to sort, make sure you include all
parts of the objects in the selection. For example, if an object
extends into a blank row or column outside the filled-in cells you
want to sort, include the blank row or column in the selection.

Settings The objects' settings may have been changed so that the
objects do not move with the cells. To set objects so that they can
be sorted with cells, hold down SHIFT and click all of the objects
that should move with the cells. On the Format menu, click AutoShape,
Picture, Text Box, WordArt, Control, or Object, and then on the
Properties tab, click Move but don't size with cells.

Sorting works for me as long as the objects fit within a cell and the
selected area includes all the objects (and the Move... property is set).
