Monitor/system crashes in XP

My monitor shutsdown with no reason or warning. This just started 3-4 days
ago. I have done a LAvasoft & Spybot check & attempted a Symantac scan but it
keeps shutting down mid scan. The monitor shuts down reading "no signal" &
will not come back up. The CPU seems to stop but the green light is still on.
I have to unplug the CPU & reboot. I installed Win SP a while ago & have had
no problems. The Event Viewer shows:
EVENT_SERVICE_CRASSH_NO_ACTION, source is the Service Control MGR.,
EVENT_SERVICE_START_FAILED, ER_USERCRASH_LOG &
SNMPELEA_NO_REGISTRY_TRACE_LEVEL_PARAMETER. I have no idea what all this
means! THis is an EMachine, #T4510 on a LAN connection using Verizon. I'm not
literate enoguh to give more details but I can find my way around the
computer if given directions. Thank you for your help!

My guess would be a loose video card, in its slot on the motherboard. If you
can open the case without voiding your warrantee, you could try re-seating
the card. (the wire from the monitor tells you which that is) Of course, it
could just be failing hardware (motherboard, etc). You may have to ask for
repair from the maker, assuming it is new enough.

'No signal' is not something that happens from a software problem
