Monitor Power (Power Schemes)

Need help, about 3 weeks ago my "power scheme" stopped working. My settings
are to Turn off monitor after 20 min, turn off hard disks after1 hr. Now the
monitor doesn't turn off (sleep mode) after 20 mins.

Any idea what it could be? Any help or tip will be appreciated.

A work around that usually works:
In Power Settings just select one of the dropdowns, though leave it with the
same scheme. The Apply Btn should become active. So click apply.
Usually pwr settings then work
 
Then check for bios / chipset updates for your mobo, from mobo or sys manu
If still no go their maybe pwr saving options that can be set in the bios.

Did you change anything between the time it last worked and the time it stopped? Any changes to the video
card/monitor/BIOS/motherboard?

Test it by setting the monitor timeout for 1 minute and see if it turns off. Check your video card settings in Display
Properties->Settings->Advanced. See if the monitor listed is still correct.
