Monitor goes to Factory burn in on shut down

My monitor goes to Factory burn in every time I close down. It does not close
off.
I have tried down loading updates but am told I have the latest available.

Unless your monitor has some really nice features - the only way to really
"turn it off" is the button on it.
(If that is what you mean.)

Otherwise - it goes into power-saver mode when it detects no signal from
your computer.
