Please help me .....I can not watch a CD for school.
I keep getting an error message that says........

re-install the following module to your system 32
directory: GDI.EXE

I called Sony and they made me buy a new set of system
recovery discs stating my original ones were bad and I
still can't figure out how to fix this
Thank you
Karen

Karen, if WinXP boots OK first open MyComputer>select Tools>Folder
Options>View>Click on Show hidden files and folders and uncheck Hide
protected operating system files. Then go to C:\Windows\System32\DllCache
Folder. Look for GDI.exe and rt click and select Copy. Then go back one
to the System32 Folder and rt click and select Paste. If it say's
something like would you like to overwrite the existing file say Yes.

Also, if it tells you "Access is Denied" when you try Pasting the file,
you may need to rename the existing GDI.EXE file to something like
GDI.OLD and then paste (or Windows will automatically copy from the
dllcache to the system32 folder). ;)
